**Responsibilities**:

- Leads or consults on the development and implementation of programs, projects and initiatives which promote a culture of inclusion and belonging at CMHC.
- As an individual contributor, the Advisor plays a key role in leading the functional D&I agenda, and provides coaching and support to the D&I team.
- Advances the corporate agenda and culture beyond employment equity, fostering inclusive practices across the organization.
- Contribute to the development of the annual corporate / sector HR plan and ensures that D&I objectives are aligned with business objectives.
- Implementing the diversity and inclusion (D&I) roadmap and key annual priorities
- Responsible for building relationships across the organization and empowering employees and leaders to help drive change and build commitment to deliver on our Diversity & Inclusion Framework priorities.
- Collaborates closely with various partners in People & Culture, Indigenous Policy and Relations, Social Policy and Equity as well as others across the organization and externally to align our collective work to continue to achieve positive outcomes.
- Identifies quantifiable and measurable diversity KPIs. For example, equalize the pay between genders of the same tenure, level, and performance within a prescribed period of time.
- Conducts ongoing diversity audit of the company's current people practices and policies for recruiting, hiring, training, compensation, and promotion in terms of their strengths and challenges.
- Provide expert-level advice and guidance to business leaders and to HR to resolve D&I issues and advance opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for integration between talent strategy, HR measures and diversity measures to drive organizational outcomes with engagement, retention, and internal mobility.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in related field (Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Commerce, etc.)
- Minimum of ten (10) years of D&I leadership experience, with a strong focus on change management, building and leading engagement initiatives, as well as building and monitoring success measurements (KPIs, NPS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in diversity and inclusion, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. systemic racism, intercultural competence, power dynamics, Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, Employment Equity, intersectionality, etc.).
- Demonstrated strong management, leadership, and mentorship behaviours by supporting individuals through change, and creating the conditions to enable performance excellence and innovation.
- Expert diplomacy and conflict management skills and a demonstrated success to tackle complex situations and contentious issues.
- Advanced ability to influence and lead outcomes at multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert demonstration of identifying, assessing, and managing risk to ensure excellent outcomes are achieved for CMHC, clients and stakeholders.
- Advanced skill in identifying and analyzing trends, patterns, or connections between topics.
- Bilingualism (French and English).

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Advanced degree / certification in diversity and inclusion related area e.g. CPHR, Canadian Certified Inclusion Profession (CCIP), Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), or other related diversity certification designations considered an asset.
