**Position Title: Sales & Business Development Manager**

Primary Function: Plans and directs all sales activities, develops and evaluates sales programs, monitors sales performance; recommends changes in marketing plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions, and prepares rates.

Systems & Equipment: Microsoft Office and sales management software.

Education / Knowledge: College diploma or equivalent and a sound understanding of the company’s capabilities and strategic direction.

Experience: At least 5 years successful experience in a sales position in the trucking industry.

**Responsibilities / Skills / Competencies**:
Works under minimum direction from General Manager

Develops sales objectives and strategies in accordance with overall objectives.

Directs sales activities consistent with objectives.

Prepare accurate rates in a timely manner.

Forecasts revenue on a regular basis by reviewing marketing information, sales patterns, expected growth, established targets, and other data so as to provide cash flow and other financial planning information.

carries out sales activities through personal contact, including negotiating rates and other conditions of sale to enhance retention and maximization of account revenue potential.

establishes marketing strategies and programs.

tracks operating performance measures.

prepares and conducts effective customer presentations and represents the company in an professional and ethical manner.

Exhibits a courteous and professional demeanor.

**Salary**: Up to $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Business development: 5 years (required)
