Helicopter Transport Services is looking for a Business Development Manager to work with our team leading our marketing efforts. HTS is a helicopter operator headquartered in Ottawa, Canada with multiple location of operations across Canada. We specialize in aerial operations utilizing helicopter services for fire protection, aerial construction, electric utility industry and other resources sectors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare commercial proposals. Collect the data needed to build such proposals and customize template proposals for specific deals.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry and customer needs relevant to current and future HTS services and solutions.
- Identify, define, develop and maintain a pipeline of active sales opportunities.
- Develop strong industry networks and relationships.
- Communicate with customers by handling routine customer issues. Give priority to customer calls for assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Will travel to respective trade shows and customer sites directly to achieve yearly financial goals and create new business.
- Identify current opportunities and detects new opportunities for helicopter operation. Propose business plans and commercial actions to reach targets.
- Work closely with Operation Manager and Director of Maintenance to ensure client requirements and company strategies align. Provide on-the-ground support for HTS priorities as needed.
- Aid accounting team to manage client invoicing to be sure it is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years industry experience
- Marketing: 4 years (required)
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with experience using a CRM database
- Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated positive, solutions-oriented approach to obstacles and challenges
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Operational and/or technical understanding of helicopter aerial operations
- Commercial Helicopter Pilot operations in Canada experience
- Business Development experience in helicopter operations
- Ability and willingness to work in a remote capacity with expected occasional domestic travel
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Canadian Passport for potential travel outside of Canada for international opportunities
- French language skills desirable
