**About Our Opportunity**:
Our Mandate at Seniors and Long-term Care includes renovating and building 3500 new single-bed resident rooms and we are looking for a Project Leader to support this program. Working in the Infrastructure group at SLTC, this position will provide leadership in improving supports within the sector through support of the development of new and existing infrastructure. Reporting to Project Manager, this position will be directly involved in the monitoring and execution of this large, complex, multi-project program.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
Reporting to the Project Manager Infrastructure, you will be required to work both independently and as part of a team to support and improve the existing funding approvals and building processes. This position will work with the team to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate existing and new infrastructure and departmental initiatives. The Project Leader will use their computer program and data collection skills to advance departmental projects. Working for both the New Build and Existing LTC Infrastructure teams the Project Leader will support departmental work including building projects, funding requests and approvals, policy and procedure reviews, etc. in the monitoring and execution of our program analysis and our data rich process work.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
In addition to the above, you also possess the following experience:

- Assisting with the management of large programs and portfolios in a data driven and management environment
- High level computer skills are required, including proficiency in MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, SharePoint and data base management software.
- You demonstrate sound judgement and interpersonal skills.
- You are a self-starter with strong initiative and leadership abilities.
- You can manage multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
- You can communicate well through written and verbal formats. Presentations of data within government and to external partners through meetings will be required.
- Managing and developing reporting documents

The following will be considered assets:

- Working knowledge of licensed LTC facilities and services offered by Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care, current LTC legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Training in CSA Z317.13 - Infection Control in Construction and Renovation of Healthcare Facilities
- Experience with Access by Design 2030 and the Environment Goals and Climate Change Act

**Working Conditions**:
This role is based in a comfortable office environment, and you may be working at your computer for extended periods of time.

**Additional Information**:
Emergency Fist Aid training is required, you must possess or be willing to complete Emergency First Aid training.
