Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal and electrical trades. These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway’s full technical capability is available for every project and service call.
The Quality Control Manager works within the Customer Solutions Department and with Field Leaders to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. This individual is responsible for assisting with the updating and management of the organization's quality control program and controlling new product development processes. The QC Manager will also direct the establishment of performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements, as well as identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of company operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Primary point of contact with ABSA, TSBC, TSASK
- Review and properly file QA/QC daily reports and documentation;
- Update the QA/QC Manual annually and ensure provincial compliance;
- Perform internal QC Audits across all provinces; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba
- Review & modify brazing/welding procedures and book certification testing;
- Coordinate with the warehouse on incoming materials;
- Proper filing of all QA/QC-related documents ;
- Prepare quality documents for turnover packages as required by customer specifications; ITP’s
- Submit documentation to clients for approval;
- Process returned documentation and ensure that it is received by appropriate personnel as per the distribution matrix;
- Create and maintain organizational document control processes;
- Project documentation reviews to ensure that all required documents have received final client approval;
- Verify that all field documentation is received and fully completed;
- Site reviews for active projects;
- pressure testing coordination to support design registration as required;
- Scan, photocopy, compile and file as required;
- Other duties as required.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- CWB Inspector Level 2 or Level 3;
- At a minimum, able to obtain ABSA In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency (Pressure Piping) within one year of starting IAW AB-526
- Preferred, certified ABSA inspector with In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency
- Understanding of QA/QC principles;
- Ability to read and understand relevant construction documents, including drawings, specifications, procedures, and codes of practice;
- Solid understanding of codes CSA B51, CSA B52, ASME B31.5, ASME B31.9, ASME B31.1, & ASME B31.3, BPVC;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Previous experience working with HVAC & refrigeration systems is an asset.
- Class 5 Drivers License.
