We are seeking a **Systems Analyst - Data** to join our team in **Winnipeg, MB or Toronto, ON.**
Working within the Data Platform Team, as a Data Analyst, you function as a member of the Data team at People Corporation supporting the data and analytics domain.
You are expected to understand the People Corporation data landscape, data and analytics environment. You will leverage this knowledge in delivering client solutions by creating data models of client and benchmark data in the Group Benefits, Health and Wellness solutions. You will work with Business Leaders, Solution Architecture and Data Owners to understand People Corporation data sources and data analysis needs and develop the client data model and associated relationships to meet business.

**The** Systems Analyst - Data** will**:

- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of People Corporation data landscape including relationships between major business and technical domains
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Create, Maintain\Refresh & Evolve data environments focused on client 360 view
- Promote business value of data visualization as an enabler for business insights for value realization
- Create, maintain, update & automate refresh of data for use by Analytics & Visualization tools such as Tableau & PowerBI

**T**o be successful **as a** **Systems Analyst - Data** with People Corporation, you will need**:

- Leadership - To influence both the business and technical outcomes, being comfortable leading indirect reporting relationship to achieve program goals and business outcomes.
- Resilience - Functions well in an environment where there are competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, and takes the initiative to enact solutions with little direct oversight.
- Strategy and Program Planning - Able to take the bigger picture and break it down into manageable progressive steps to ensure progress is made on multiple projects.
- Communication - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicates clearly, with purpose, and adapts communication style appropriately to suit audience. Can effectively negotiate with stakeholders, understanding the needs of all parties, managing risk and product delivery. Must be able to listen, advise, empathize, and explain.
- Analytica & Critical thinking - Effectively uses data to build, deliver and translate tactile information into trends and meaningful messages for senior leaders. You demonstrate good critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Includes identifying key issues, diagnosing problems and opportunities, making sound inferences from available information, and drawing logical conclusions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) relevant to Information Technology or Business Administration
- You have 3 to 5+ years' experience and have a strong data background with a broad understanding of data, analytics, reporting and data wrangling
- Must have good working knowledge of SQL, SSIS or other data manipulation tools
- You have 1 to 2+ years' experience with Tableau \ PowerBI and other dashboard/visualization tools
