General

The _Human Resources Advisor_ is IMC’s People and Culture Champion always possessing the ability to motivate, lead, coach and work with various team players including the IMC management team, internal and external stakeholders. They will work with leaders within the business to build on our positive culture and drive Ira McDonald’s Mission, Vision, and Values; ensuring that IMC continues to be a great place to work for all employees. For IMC to be a top employer in the market, it is important for the _HR Advisor_ to nurture and manage employees in ways that keep the company efficient, collaborative, and appealing to top talent.

Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, this role is both strategic and hands on. The _HR Advisor_ will be a valued member of the leadership team and will use the knowledge and best practices of Human Resource Management to advance the success of the business. You will lead and influence with a clear understanding that sustainable long-term results can only be achieved through a team that understands and focuses their energy on the key objectives that drive success, have the skill set needed to execute against the business needs, and have a high desire to contribute to a winning culture.

**Responsibilities**:
HR Leadership
- Be a key contributor to IMC’s Corporate Strategic Planning Process and Organizational Development.
- Work with the VP to develop the annual Operational Plan and Initiatives for HR.
- Assist Senior Management Team development including team transitions and succession elements.
- Manage important HR KPIs gathering data and reporting to the Senior Management Team with a focus on Culture, Employee Retention, and Team Strength.
- Lead IMC’s pursuit of an Employer of Choice recognition such as Canada’s Best Managed Companies
- Organize and present initiatives at Annual Town Hall and Quarterly staff meetings and team events.
- Work with the Senior Management Team to address employee accountability, performance, or interpersonal issues.

Training & Performance Management
- Team Retention and Development is a top priority. Assist with establishing a career map for each employee to ensure professional development and coordinate training and educational opportunities.
- Manage the IMC training matrix and ensure all training initiatives are enforced to address the needs of the company.
- Update and implement HR policies and procedures as required including IMC’s Employee Manual.
- Lead IMC’s performance management system for all employees annually

Recruitment
- Initiate, manage, and execute IMC’s recruiting and hiring process to add exemplary talent to the team.
- Have awareness for operational capacity and work with the Senior Management Team to clarify hiring requirements and implement the appropriate recruitment strategy.
- Ensure that the Onboarding and Orientation Program is consistently implemented for all hires.

Compensation
- Complete Salary Surveys to ensure that IMC continues to competitively attract and retain top talent. Meet with the Senior Management Team to discuss influential trends that may impact the company.
- Work with the Senior Management Team to monitor the plan IMC’s remuneration structure and make recommendations for Merit and COLA adjustments.
