**Position Overview**:
Critical Discoveries is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Geological Assistants for the upcoming Summer Field Season. As a Geological Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Geologists in diverse field environments, contributing to ongoing projects and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a variety of settings.
**Job Requirements**:
- Conduct various fieldwork tasks such as rock sampling, mapping, soil sampling, drill hole reclamation and prospecting.
- Conduct drill program tasks such as moving core, geo-teching, RQD, and core cutting.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Organize data and samples collected daily and prepare samples to be received by the laboratory.
- Support management through digitization and interpretation of geoscience data.
- Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in Geological Sciences or a relevant undergraduate program.
- Demonstrated interest in mineral exploration and fieldwork.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in remote field locations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform fieldwork in varying weather conditions and rugged terrain.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites.

- First Aid
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, QGIS
