Security Operations Supervisor

**Duties**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security team, including training, and performance management
- Coordinate with external law enforcement agencies and emergency services to ensure a rapid response to incidents
- Monitor and analyze security systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems, to detect and respond to potential threats
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in security management
- Respond effectively to alarm responses and client calls
- Patrol scheduled sites/locations
- Ability to be sworn in as specially appointed provincial offences officer
- Assist to organize staff and provider leadership during the protection of special events
- Complete site and Guard inspections
- Answer company phone lines after hours in a professional way, directing serious issues to senior leadership as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in security operations or supervisory experience in a related field
- Possess a valid Ontario Drivers License - G class
- Post Secondary diploma in Police Foundations or 5 years of relevant experience as equivalent
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener-Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:
