**Position Description**

**Geology 305 - Introduction to Dinosaurs**

Geology 305 is an introduction to the biology, evolution, and extinction of dinosaurs; geographic and temporal distribution, habitats, and ecology of the various dinosaur groups; preservation, exploration, collection, preparation, and identification of dinosaur fossils.

Delivery Mode: Course will be delivered in-person.

Spring 2023 Term Dates: Monday, May 1, 2023 to Friday, June 23, 2023.

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate degree in Geoscience (e.g.: Geology, Geophysics, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering) or a related field is required.
- Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
- Experience with the Desire 2 Learn (D2L) course management system, knowledge of best practices for assessments, and techniques for engaging students will be considered assets.

- Statement of teaching philosophy, including fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
