**Help make a difference to the citizens of Edmonton by joining the Dedicated Accessible Transit (DATS) Service team**

Reporting to the Paratransit Systems Specialist, DATS Schedulers are responsible for scheduling bookings, and designing and developing runs to ensure optimal use of vehicle and operator resources.

**What will you do?**
- Schedule and integrate all subscription and reservation clients bookings
- Consider client needs to ensure appropriate schedules and a reasonable amount of time is allowed between pick-ups and drop-offs
- Analyze system reports to maximize trip groupings and to ensure optimum use of resources
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure availability of Operators and vehicles
- Give feedback on improving and adjusting schedules in Trapeze
- Provide information related to DATS services, policies and procedures
- Coordinate and report all vehicle maintenance
- Provide support to projects related to Client and Operational Services and/or Schedule work
- Assist with troubleshooting on road issues
- Complete DATS Operator payroll entries and audits

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12
- Two (2) years of related experience in a Transit or Transportation environment

**Assets**:

- Skilled in the use of computer assisted tools for accurate maintenance of accounts, records, and documentation

**Skills required for success**:

- Knowledge of systems and databases, preferably within a Transit environment
- Strong knowledge of geographic locations, roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to solve problems and make quick, independent decisions
- Ability to methodically schedule trips and manage resources according to established service standards
- Ability to work quickly and calmly with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage numerous responsibilities within tight deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong communication (written and verbal), customer service, interpersonal and decision making skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Client focused approach
- Proficiency with computer software (Windows, Office, Google)

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position. There may be a cost associated with this requirement

**Work Environment**:

- The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance
