**Overview**
Campbell River Family Services Society (CRFSS) has served families' needs since 1977. We are a non-profit, charitable organization with extensive experience providing quality services to children, youth, adults, and families. CRFSS is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is staffed by qualified, dedicated individuals throughout all levels of the organization.

**Summary**
Reporting to the Early Years Team Leader, the Family Place Coordinator oversees and participates in the day-to-day operations of Campbell River Family Place, providing direction to ensure that the goals and objectives of Family Place are met. The Family Place Coordinator plans, develops and implements the day-to-day operation of Family Place Programs.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plans, develops and facilitates Family Place drop-in programs in the community in consultation with program and other community partners. Plans and implements program activities and special events.
- Formulates program policies and procedures and evaluates the program in consultation with the Operations Manager.
- Oversees the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards are met with respect to accreditation.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of community resources for families by attending early years community meetings and networking with other service providers.
- Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by performing duties such as sharing promotional materials, facilitating referral to the program and attending community events.
- Monitors program expenditures and works within a set budget.
- Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Excellent oral, written, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
- Good organization, time, and general management skills.
**Qualifications**
**Education and Knowledge**:
- A Diploma in an early childhood education.
**Training and Experience: A total of three years in any of the following**:
- Child development, childcare or early childhood education.
- Facilitating parent and baby, toddler and preschool groups.
- Facilitating closely related community development.
**Additional Information**
The Family Place Coordinator will be required to provide direct services outside of the organization’s facilities. There may be high levels of noise and distraction from children, and moderate physical activity will include walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
