Program Assistant/support

**Introduction**
Mission Statement: Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre exists to create and sustain, through compassionate dedicated staff, programs to develop life skills in participants, social and welcoming environments in which meaningful relationships and friendships are developed, and inclusive community experiences.
The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the team of instructional staff in the day-to-day delivery of programs offered at CABLC. The Program Assistant will support individuals identified through a CABLC review process in working towards established goals set out by the instructional staff team, the individual and or their caregivers.
This position is responsible for assisting in the service delivery of the organization, including community involvements and community outings.
The Program Assistant is a key part of the organization, which includes the Board of Directors, Executive Director,Manager of Operations, Supervisor of Programming, and Instructional Team.
Duties and responsibilities
**Program and transition services administration**
1. Responsible for all assigned areas of programming and delivery to all participants that are within the transition program including but not limited to Recreation and Wellness, Digital Innovation, Community, Culture and Me, Expressive Arts, and Basic Culinary. This may take the form of short intervals of time within each of the instructional classrooms with the instructors leading the class and the Program Assistant helping the identified participant or could be with coverage if needed.
2. Supervise lunch periods and coffee cafe with particular attention to the needs of transitional participants.
3. Maintain all student files and documents in an appropriate and accountable manner according to established standards. This will include formal evaluations which will be prepared to a set schedule by the Supervisor of Programming.
4. Assist with resource development and implementation.
5. Assist transition participants in community involvements.
6. Assist with supervising the arrival and departure of participants.
7. Ensure consistency of quality, accountability and high standards in all programs and services - both student support and education.
8. Ensure consistent and meaningful evaluation of all programs and services is carried out in a timely manner in order to assess their impact and success and to make needed changes and improvements as indicated.
9. Ensure appropriate use of saving information on the company “N” Drive and no use of USB memory sticks without management approval.
10. Full compliance with the Health and Safety Policies
11. Adhere to the Confidentiality Policies of Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre.
**Other related duties**
1. Participate actively as an organization representative in collaborative partner networks and in related community activities.
2. To attend all mandatory training and self development courses aimed at enhancing the course content and delivery of programs of the organization.
4. Complete general housekeeping as determined by the organizational need on a daily or weekly basis.
5. Must hold a current certification in First Aid and CPR.
6. Must obtain a police clearance including vulnerable sector screening.
7. Must provide any other documentation as stated in your resume as required.
**Skill, knowledge, education, and experience**
1. Successful supervisory experience in managing a small group of individuals.
2. Strong organizational skills while being able to maintain high standards under pressure.
3. College diploma or certificate and or training in a related field (Educational assistant, Developmental Service Worker etc.).
4. Capacity to adapt to change and remain flexible.
5. Ability to comply with standard policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
6. Capable of working with diverse populations.
7. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to use computer programs to keep accurate records and documentation.
9. Experience working with individuals living with varying developmental abilities.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
