**Job Summary**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Supervisor, Transit Revenue under the Business Development Section of the MiWay Division:
- Utilize customer service skills to serve the public in sales of PRESTO fare product (includes card issuance, loading value, refunding value, loading period passes), card holder, setup Affordable Transit Pass on eligible PRESTO accounts and Carassauga passport at the City Centre Transit Terminal.
- Responsible for the daily reconciliation of individual cash and fare media floats, cash balancing and occasional deposits preparation, inventory tracking/controls, and ensures that sufficient inventory is on hand at all times.
- Multi-task and capable of coping in a hectic work environment.
- Communicate with team members, other revenue staff, Supervisor and armoured courier on a regular basis.
- Back up/fill-in for Full-time or Part-Time Concession Attendant duties in the event of absence.
- This position is predominantly scheduled to work evenings from 2:30pm to 7:30pm.
- Must be available to work flexible hours which includes early mornings, evenings and weekends. Shifts are allocated based on seniority. Current shift hours for the fare booth are Monday to Friday 7:15am to 7:30pm.
- Reliability is a must.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
This is a part time position for 24 - 32 hours per week
- Minimum Grade 12 education with post-secondary education related to entry level bookkeeping, or equivalent combination of direct experience/education.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in cash handling, balancing/reconciliation and inventory control.
- Proficiency with computerized cash systems and POS (experience with the PRESTO system, CLASS and ActiveNet systems is an advantage).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the public, is required.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as work collaboratively in a team environment sharing information and in seeking resolution to problems.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in customer service principles and practices, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, accountability and adaptability.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills along with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence, quality and client communication.

Hourly Rate/Salary: $18.50 - $30.84

Hours of Work: 24 - 32 hours per week
