Carlsberg Canada recently purchased Waterloo Brewing Ltd. so Carlsberg Canada includes the production, distribution and commercialization of Carlsberg and Waterloo products as well as various co-manufacturing partnerships.
**Role Summary**
Reporting to Head of S+OP, the Demand Planner is to ensure that the best possible estimate of true customer demand is released on a monthly, weekly (or if necessary daily) basis to drive supply, sales and financial planning processes and results.
**Accountabilities**:
- Develop and maintain 18-month horizon forecasting model for the Canadian business unit.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply and Distribution teams to create one aligned plan for the business unit
- Weekly, Monthly KPI reporting, analysis for continuous improvement of process/results
- Engaging cross functional stakeholders to contribute and own the S&OP process. Facilitating the meetings/discussions and seeing actions to completion.
- Prepare, maintain, and facilitate the monthly Demand Review and full S+OP cycle.
- Monitor and report important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategy.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and administration of new product development.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain demand input to cross functional budget, 3-year plan and planning processes.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Reporting latest estimates and KPIs to group on a monthly and weekly basis.
- Translate Demand forecast into regional shipment demand plan for Operations.
**Education & Qualifications**:
- University degree preferably in business, engineering, mathematics.
- Self-starter with desire for process improvement
- Comfortable leading meetings and presenting to Sr. Management
- Ability to build relationships and establish trust with key stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel, high attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales, Marketing, Finance or Operational Role, with exposure to sales forecasting or budgeting process, or knowledge of Canadian Alcoholic Route to market preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in S+OP process an asset.
- Experience in Beverage Manufacturing or fast-moving CPG an asset.
- Ability to make decisions without knowing all the information and taking calculated risks.
- Focus on results with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated superior planning and leadership skills with effective time management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
