**About Us**:
**Responsibilities**:
The Business Foundations Department at Ivey Business School has limited, part-time appointment contracts available for Lecturer’s Assistants (LA) for the following case method courses:
Business 1220E, an introductory course in business;
Business 1299E, a required course in business for UWO engineering students;
Business 2257, the prerequisite for the HBA program.

Applications are invited from individuals who have successfully completed Business 1220/1299 or Business 2257. Contracts will be active during the 2024-25 academic year, with the last expected engagement in April 2025.

**Business 1220E/1299E LA responsibilities include**:

- Proctoring and grading two sets of exams and one report;
- Adjudicating the Business 1220E case competition in March.

**Business 2257 LA responsibilities include**:

- Proctoring and grading two sets of exams;
- Assisting with the Business 2257 feasibility competition and adjudicating the Business 1220E case competition in March, if necessary.
- Qualifications
Eligibility Requirement:

- Must be registered in, or completed an MBA or MSc program, within the department
- Previous marking experience preferred

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

- In-depth knowledge of the material covered in the course/program
- Attention to detail and proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language
- Communication skills to convey information and feedback in a clear and effective manner
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards
- Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
- Ability to provide feedback in a way that is positively received
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load
- Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve issues
