The MSc and MMA Ivey Essentials Accounting has limited, part-time appointment contracts available for Lecturer's Assistant (LA) for the following courses:
**_ MSc Ivey Essentials Accounting Course 9081 responsibilites include_**:
- Assist students who have mínimal or low levels of accounting background.
- Expected to hold tutorial sessions to assist students who have mínimal or no accounting background with fundamentil accounting concepts.
- Support students with more advanced inquiries seeking to understand these issues supplement to the core course materials and issues presented in the case.
- Grading individual assignments and provide corrections and feedback
**_ MMA - Ivey SEssentials Accounting Course 9950 responsibilities include:_**
- Assist students who have mínimal or low levels of accounting background.
- Expected to hold tutorial sessions to assist students who have mínimal or no accounting background with fundamentil accounting concepts.
- Support students with more advanced inquiries seeking to understand these issues supplement to the core course materials and issues presented in the case.
- Grading individual assignments and provide corrections and feedback
- Applications are invited from individuals who have sucessfully completed CPA Designation or equivalent and be fully qualified since they will be explaining accounting concepts to students. Applicants must be also very knowledgeable in accounting and be able to explain the concepts in an understandable format.**Qualifications**:
- Eligibility Requirement:
- Must be registered in, or completed a program, within the department
- Previous marking experience preferred
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of the material covered in the course/program
- Attention to detail and proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language
- Communication skills to convey information and feedback in a clear and effective manner
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards
- Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
- Ability to provide feedback in a way that is positively received
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load
- Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve issues
