**Role**:
Currently reporting to the Director, Peace Officer Training and Standards, the Manager Training Delivery will work collaboratively with senior management and other training managers to deliver a comprehensive training framework. Leading a professional training delivery team, you will identify and assess training needs, and oversee courses delivery and training supports, evaluate training outcomes, and ensure continuous improvement of the training programs and initiatives delivered by your team. You will contribute to the development and revision of curriculum, instructors’ qualifications and secondment pathway, and induction programs including best practice research, development of learning tools and modules and development and promotion of other identified initiatives.

Using your superior communication and interpersonal skills, you will provide advice and recommendations to senior management on training strategies, policies, standards and practices. Critical to your role will be the development of policies and standards and the mapping out of processes and SOPs, ultimately creating documentation that will stand the test of time through subsequent secondments. Your ability to develop strong working relationships and manage competing interests with various stakeholders, including branches, ministries and law enforcement agencies, will be an asset to our collaborative team.

Main Accountabilities of the Role:

- Leadership and direction is provided to the Training team to ensure that program services are delivered in accordance with accepted educational practices.
- Leadership and direction is provided in the training delivery function to ensure that training programs enable the Training Academy to meet its business plan goals and that the training needs of stakeholders are met.
- Collaborative, consultative, and effective working relationships are initiated and developed with senior management, training managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach is taken in the development and delivery of training programs.
- The TA culture reflects the APS values and is contributing to high levels of staff engagement and the delivery of excellence in training.
- This is a three-year secondment with the possibility of extension

**Qualifications**:
University Degree in a field related to the criminal justice system, or related field, supplemented by four years related experience.

Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

Preference will be given to those with current or past experience in leading and inspiring teams in a law enforcement or related field setting.

Must possess or be able to obtain the Provincial Peace Officer I designation and completion of a related law enforcement training program.

**Salary**:
$3,062.51 to $4,121.25 bi-weekly ($79,931.51 - $107,564.63)

Hours of work are 36.25 per week.
