**Job Title**: Operations Assistant (Level 2)

**Location**: G3 Hamilton

The Operations Assistant performs duties related to handling grain throughout the facility. This includes receiving grains via trucks and rail cars and loading out/shipping grain via trucks, ships, and rail cars. Key objectives include ensuring and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone at the location. General housekeeping and site upkeep. Excellent customer service and communication and working relationships with G3 colleagues and business partners.

**Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to**:

- Comply at all times with corporate EH&S policies and best practices.
- Ensure physical facilities are clean, efficient and well-maintained.
- Receive grain by truck, including weighing and documentation.
- Sampling grain and assessing grain qualities.
- Binning and transferring grain
- Operating Terminal control systems
- Operating grain cleaning equipment and assessing quality
- Shipping grain via ship and truck.
- Provide friendly/quality customer service to all customers.
- Identify opportunities to improve standard operating procedures and reduce operating expenses.
- Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships between management, staff and G3 head office.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong work ethic, ability to learn and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position.
- Effective computer knowledge and experience.
- Good communication and team-work skills.
- Knowledge/Familiarity of grain grading and cleaner operations is considered an asset.
- Farm / Ag industry experience considered an asset.
- Experience and familiarity with tools and basic preventative maintenance considered an asset.
