We are currently seeking a Water Treatment Technician (Labourer) to join our team based out of our Richmond, BC office.

**Job Schedule**: The work schedule for this role is dependent on the project. It could be 8 hour, 10 hour, or 12 hour shifts, and can be on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on / 1 week off, or 2 weeks on / 1 week off, depending on client needs and the needs of the specific project. Shifts could be day shift, or night shift.
**Job Location**: This role will be required to attend work at our yard on-site, and must be local to Richmond, BC and the surrounding area. Travel to remote work sites will be required.
**Position Summary**:
The Water Treatment Labourer is responsible for working with internal and external customers, installation, commissioning, and operation of various styles of mobile water treatment systems. This would include processes from slurry to water. Utilizes in construction, remediation, and industrial projects. The Water Treatment Labourer will work primarily at project sites throughout Central and Western Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
Safety
- Leading in execution and implementation of all KBL safety policies and procedures
- Lead by example and mentor junior staff
- Supervise sub-contractors when applicable
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Safety Department
- Partake in safety related meetings
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and operation of KBL's custom-built mobile water treatment equipment
- Optimize equipment and troubleshoot for deficiencies on a continuous basis
- Accurately collect and compile sample data for reporting to stakeholders
- Calibrate equipment as per operating manual requirements
- Lift, push, pull and drag up to 50 lbs
- Interpret results and adjust equipment
- Other related duties as requested
- Conduct equipment and site inspections
- Must have reliable transportation
**Qualifications**:
- Any experience and a solid understanding of the water treatment field is an asset, but not required as on-site training is available.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Understanding of electrical systems and controls
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to maintain strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate in a positive, and professional manner.
- Must be able and willing to complete tasks/projects as directed by Management to achieve company and project objectives.
- 12 hour shift work is required at remote sites throughout Central and Western Canada.
- Valid and current Class 5 Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
- This position requires standing for extended periods, in addition to walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving parts up to 55 lbs.
