Giant Tiger is seeking a spring 2025 Softgoods Business Management Intern from the following programs: Business, Commerce, Retail Management, Marketing/Communications, Operations Management, or Administration.

As the Softgoods Business Management Intern, you will work closely with the Softgoods Business Manager and have the chance to develop several transferable skills and experience for your resume at a top Canadian retailer The major focus of this role will be to support the Business Manager in marketing administrative duties but there will also be opportunities to support in the development of business reports, presentations, and stretch projects alongside the Business Manager.

Softgoods Business Management Intern, Role Highlights:
Marketing Admin Duties- Review and document flyer results for Business Manager to allow for efficient analysis & strategy setting- Review flyer block plans to ensure themes, stories or key items set in the strategy align- Act as a liaison between Marketing and the Buying team related to sample management, questions on product for the flyer etc.- Schedule all Brand Coordination Meetings and attend alongside the Business Manager- Support in the creation of Marketing Decks for Seasonal Kickoffs and Story Telling- Support the Business Manager in identifying process improvement opportunities- Admin duties may evolve with strategic direction of this process

Business Support- Support Business Manager in Ad Hoc projects, presentations, or report building (where applicable)- Support Business Manager in coordinating a store rotation schedule and monthly post-mortems with the team- Attend business meetings alongside the Business Manager- Other support may evolve with the role depending on needs of this process- Recent graduate or currently enrolled in programs mentioned above- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy- Excellent communication and relationship building skills- Strong organization skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment- Strong analytical skills- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team- Strong desire to learn about different aspects of the business- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Suite- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset- Work can be performed remotely but ability to travel to Ottawa or Montreal occasionally is preferred
