West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC) has always employed an innovative planning approach aimed at integrating services. **About the Opportunity**:
The hours of work will primarily be Monday to Friday day shifts, and after hours and weekend on call.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide expert resolution of technical issues related to servers, computers, printers, peripherals, and telecommunication devices;
- Diagnose and resolve problems with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, health information systems, and networking;
- Manage service requests by logging, categorizing, and tracking them using our central ticketing system;
- Handle provisioning, changes, and de-provisioning of user accounts in line with corporate policies;
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams and ensure timely follow-up until resolution;
- Assist with Help Desk Technician support, including overflow management, problem analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting;
- Upgrade PC hardware and software as needed;
- Perform network cabling and termination tasks;
- Deliver top-tier customer service, safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and staff information.

**More About You**:
To qualify for the role, you will also need to have:

- A diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) or CompTIA (e.g., A+, Network+), ITIL are highly desirable;
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting;
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting PC hardware and software;
- Solid understanding of networking principles and server environments;
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment;
- Strong organizational skills with a meticulous approach to documentation, ticket management, and follow-up;
- Experience with healthcare information systems is an asset;
- Familiarity with basic programming languages is an asset;
- A valid driver’s license is required for travel between sites as necessary;
- Demonstrated alignment with the mission, vision, and values of West Parry Sound Health Centre;
- A record of satisfactory attendance, work performance, and positive work references;
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 lbs when required.
