Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Security
- Liaise with third-party security team to communicate updates and requirements. Provide break relief to gatehouse personnel. Review daily shift and incident reports from third-party security team. Follow-up with third-party security personnel and manager as needed
- Conduct safety and security patrols of facility and perimeter. Maintain security vigilance at all times. Monitor all visitors/contractors entering the premises to detect and prevent potential threats. Report all potential and actual safety and security issues immediately
- Monitor entry points. Reset and deactivate electronic entry points as required
- Control and monitor surveillance equipment. Review and export CCTV footage as required
- Create and program electronic access keycards. Manage keycard access permissions, as designated by management. Export access records as required
- Maintain inventory and log of facility keys. Manage sign-out of keys by designated personnel. Unlock doors as required
- Support emergency alarm and response procedures. Escort emergency personnel to designated area(s) as needed. Troubleshoot alarm notifications and liaise with third-party alarm monitoring company. Download headcount numbers from security access system
- Manage parking access and monitor compliance. Maintain employee vehicle license plate records.
- Other duties as assigned.

Reception / Customer Service
- Welcome and attend to visitors. Direct visitors to appropriate personnel. Escort visitors to designated meeting room(s)
- Coordinate daily courier shipments (e.g., local courier, FedEx, Purolator). Prepare items for shipment and create waybills. Receive incoming mail/packages and deliver to recipients accordingly
- Ensure all visitors review and acknowledge safety, security, and food safety policies. Provide visitors with uniforms when entering production areas. Maintain visitor and contractor sign-in logs
- Maintain tidiness of front lobby and designated customer meeting areas. Restock designated customer meeting areas with beverages and supplies. Assist with set-up and take-down for special customer presentations
- Maintain inventory of supplies and re-order as needed

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- High School graduate required
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience in related discipline (e.g., security, customer service, hospitality)

Work Experience:

- 1+ years of previous security and/or customer-service experience
- Experience in multitasking and working in a dynamic environment
- Experience conducting safety and security inspections/patrols

Job Skills:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Service-oriented mindset to answer phones and welcome visitors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem solver
- Time-management skills
- Helpful, courteous attitude. Works well as part of a team
- Proficiency using basic office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, copiers, etc. Experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
- Holding a valid RAIC is an asset
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is an asset

Language / Communication Skills:

- Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential in English
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset
- Positive phone demeanor

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job: Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts. Must be to lift, pull, push, and move products, equipment, and supplies daily.
