**Sessional Lecturer**:
**FSC303H5S - Techniques of Crime Scene Investigation (SCI EXP)**:
**Course Description**: This course will provide students with an introduction to forensic photography, crime scene processing, and forensic identification. Topics include, but are not limited to: fingerprint identification, chance impression evidence, physical evidence, crime scene and victim photography, and proper documentation of a crime scene. Students will gain an understanding of the basic "toolkit" required for crime scene processing, and learn the fundamentals of proper collection and analysis of physical evidence. [12L, 24P]

**Session**: July 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023

Please note: This position includes the completion of any course work and marking not finished by June 30, 2021.

**Lectures**: Wednesdays 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm (In-person)

**Practicals**: Wednesdays 7:00-9:00 pm, Thursdays 3:00-5:00pm, 5:00-7:00pm, 7:00-9:00pm (In-person)

**Estimated Course Enrolment**: 80

**Estimated TA Support**: 110 hours (total number of assigned hours is dependent on course enrolment and course approvals)

**Salary**:

- $9,182.42 for Sessional Lecturer I
- $9,641.55 for Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term
- $9,826.96 for Sessional Lecturer II
- $10,060.93 for Sessional Lecturer III
- Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail._

**Duties**: Preparation and delivery of course material (including modes of delivery) preparation and delivery of assignments, tests and/or exams; supervision of teaching assistants (includes providing instruction on how to mark, as well as holding office hours ); marking of students’ work (during the term and beyond if an extension of time is granted by the university officials); submission of grades to university officials; and holding regular office hours.
