**Sales & Design Representative**

United Canada Inc. is currently looking for a driven, dynamic and highly motivated Sales & Design Representative to join our team.

**Who we’re looking for**:
You have a passion for interior & furniture design, and like to stay up-to-date with new furniture trends in the Canadian market

You’re able to multitask and keep up in dynamic, fast-paced environment

You have excellent customer service skills and are able to effectively close sales

You are looking for a role where you can actively contribute to the success of a growing, award-winning, evolving company

**Key Responsibilities**:
Greet customers as they enter the showroom in a warm and friendly manner, engage in conversation with them to learn what they’re looking for and direct them accordingly.

Regularly engage in product & current market trends research to ensure knowledge of our products and the general Canadian furniture market stay up to date.

Maintain relationships with clients and obtain repeat or referral orders, building a strong roster of clients.

Create sales orders, contracts, and invoices as required, maintain and update records as needed.

Meet monthly sales quotas as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Keep a clean, organized and neat showroom & work area, including clearing away any messes left behind by customers, ensuring products are styled properly, and occasionally wiping surfaces down.

Close sales, prepare sales contracts and take payments

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
Strong interest in interior and furniture design

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with both customers and suppliers, strong interpersonal skills

Comfortable creating and presenting presentations/reports

Comfortable with Microsoft office & G-Suite programs

Some knowledge of basic design concepts and functions, e.g. spatial planning, fabric selection, style selection, interior styles etc.

**Education**:
Completion of a University or College degree in Interior Design, Visual Arts, Material Design, Visual Studies, or similar fields

**Experience**:
1 year experience in a customer-facing sales role required (retail experience accepted, furniture sales experience preferred)

Interior design experience an asset

**Working Conditions**:
Full time in-office at our Richmond Hill location.

Please note: hybrid or WFH not available for this position.

**Position Type**:
Full-Time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
