Sales/marketing Representative

United Canada Inc. is currently looking for a driven, dynamic and highly motivated Sales and Marketing Representative to join our team.
With over 15 years of experience in the international furniture sales market, United Canada Inc. is ready to bring their designs to Canada and is looking for a dedicated Sales and Marketing Representative to help us bring our dreams to fruition. By joining our team, you’ll gain valuable insights into the Canadian furniture market, learn and develop important sales & design skills, and have the opportunity to work alongside leading industry experts.
**Who we’re looking for**:
- You have a passion for interior & furniture design, and like to stay up-to-date with new furniture trends in the Canadian market
- You’re able to multitask and keep up in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- You have excellent customer service skills and are able to effectively close sales
- You can effectively create content and manage corporate social media accounts

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working with the Procurement team to research and select new models to bring into our showroom
- Keep up with and evaluate new trends in the Canadian furniture market, create reports and present information to the Procurement and Sales teams
- Managing all English-language social media accounts, including regularly creating and posting new content to draw customers into our showroom
- Help with creating and implementing staging plans, maintaining a clean, organized and stylish showroom
- Greeting customers as they enter the showroom, conducting one-on-ones with customers to better understand their needs and recommend products
- Close sales, prepare sales contracts and take payments
- Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, create and maintain a large customer network
- Meet monthly sales quotas as assigned by management
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Strong interest in interior and furniture design
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with both customers and suppliers, strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with using social media and creating content
- Comfortable creating and presenting presentations/reports
- Comfortable with Microsoft office & G-Suite programs
- Some knowledge of basic design concepts and functions, e.g. spatial planning, fabric selection, style selection, interior styles etc.
**Education**:
- Completion of a University or College degree in Interior Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Material Design, Visual Studies, or similar fields
**Experience**:
- 1 year experience in a customer-facing sales role required (retail experience accepted)
- 1 year social media management experience
- Interior design experience an asset
**Working Conditions**:
- Full time in-office at our Richmond Hill location.
- Please note: hybrid or WFH not available for this position.
**Position Type**:
- Full-Time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
