New Brunswick Social Pediatrics (NBSP) was developed to improve the quality of life, health and long-term outcomes of children and their families in our province by seeking to understand “what works” to help our kids. NBSP is seeking to optimize access and service delivery to children who face difficult living circumstances, toxic stress and trauma. These conditions impact health and development as well as a child’s integration into their school and community. Community Social Pediatrics is a multi-pronged, interdisciplinary approach that addresses the needs of children and their families affected by the social determinants of health. This model is based on our commitment to the United Nations (UN) Convention of Child Rights and the UN Sustainable Goals.

**Job description**

Description: This position will work in conjunction with NB Social Pediatrics staff and volunteers to develop and execute a community outreach plan through relationship building, effective marketing and communication strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute creative mixed media strategy for communicating the foundations of our programs to community partners, funders and for research proposals and reports.
- Initiate, draft, and edit communication materials including peer to peer reviews/publications, policies, monographs, fact sheets, infographic and social media posts targeting a wide range of audiences.
- Manage Social Media accounts by making regular posts and maintain a presence by sharing relevant content/posts or positive stories and support for community services.
- With feedback from Program leads, update quarterly newsletter with new and exciting program content to share with partners in the community.
- Additional duties as required.
- Must have access to computer/laptop for work.
- This position will be a hybrid of working-from-home and in the office.
- Possibility of renewal following initial term.

Skill Requirements
- Strong Communication (written and oral)
- Education/Experience in Marketing and/or Communications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
- Proficient with multiple social media platforms

Assets
- Experience with Canva
- Experience with Graphic Design
- Experience producing infographics, lay summaries, other communication materials.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
