Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a **Sanitation Technician **to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

This position will work Monday-Friday, with the option of working an 8-hour shift (9am-5:30pm) or a 5.5-hour shift (12pm-5:30pm)

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensures a general state of cleanliness of the production, packaging, and warehouse areas.
- Follows written cleaning protocols to ensure that equipment is cleaned properly.
- Follows all company food safety programs including GMP's to produce the highest quality products for our customers.
- Accurately completes all HACCP and SQF paperwork for the equipment that they clean.
- Effectively communicates with coworkers to maintain positive employee relations and promote teamwork.
- Works in collaboration with the Sanitation Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technician to to ensure the environmental program is performed as written.
- Performs post-sanitation inspections to ensure equipment is clean prior to the commencement of production.
- Report all equipment that is damaged as a result of sanitation practices.
- Ad hoc duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- A reliable, dedicated, friendly and hard working Inovata Foods Team Member
- A person who takes pride in their work and with a critical eye for detail regarding achieving high levels of cleanliness in the work at hand
- A willing and capable learner who is looking to grow and develop in the role
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, sanitation, chemical handling and equipment experience/knowledge
- Attention to detail and an eye for a high level of detail and accuracy
- Ability to work safely and effectively with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Open to learning new skills
- Able to work in a cold and wet environment
