**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller with a keen eye for detail and strong people management skills to join our dynamic finance team. As Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and implementing effective financial controls.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Financial Reporting**:

- Manages all accounting day-to-day operations including A/R, A/P GL, Accounting and Revenue Recognition for a multi-company operation.
- Supervising and mentoring accounting team members and fosters a positive and supportive work environment.
- Reviews reconciliations of A/P, GL Accounts, bank and credit card accounts, payroll and benefits (ADP), inter-company balances. Follows up on outstanding unreconciled items.
- Prepares reconciliations for A/R, Earned and Unearned Revenue, Residence Income between student information system and accounting system.
- Prepare and ensure timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinating and managing the annual external audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Oversee corporate credit card program
- Ensures consistency of procedures throughout all companies in the ILAC Group.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- ** Internal Controls**:

- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures with precision.
- ** Cash Management**:

- Manage cash flow with meticulous attention to detail to optimize working capital.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and cash accounts.
- Implement strategies to enhance liquidity and financial stability.
- ** Financial Analysis**:

- Supports FP&A with accurate financial information that is used for department leaders, senior management and board of directors.
- Provide insights into cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong people management skills to drive financial performance.
- ** Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, paying careful attention to detail.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional people management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
