Selfie Experience Coordinator and Social Media Manager

As a "Selfie Experience Coordinator and Social Media Manager” at Calgary Selfie Museum, your role would be to create an enjoyable and interactive experience for visitors as they explore and capture selfies in the museum's exhibits. As the Social Media Manager you would also be responsible for creating and scheduling social media content for the Calgary Selfie Museum‘s Instagram and Tik Tok page independently as well as in collaboration with others. Graphic Design and Video Editing skills are an asset.
Your responsibilities:
1. Welcoming and assisting visitors to the museum and guiding them through the selfie experience.
2. Opening and closing the museum.
3. Ensuring visitor safety by monitoring the exhibits to ensure that visitors follow safety guidelines while taking selfies.
4. Provide a comfortable environment to promote creativity, engagement and self expression
6. Creating and scheduling social media content independently and in collaboration with others across all social media platforms.
7. Engaging with the Calgary Selfie Museum social media accounts by responding to comments and notifications.
8. Creating promotional materials for distribution such as flyers, coupons and business cards.
Your Qualifications:
1. Skilled at taking initiative and working independently and completing tasks.
2. Strong organizational skills: The ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively and independently.
3. Excellent communication skills: The capacity to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
4. Knowledge of social media platforms: Familiarity with popular social media platforms and trends in order to create engaging and shareable selfie experiences.
5. Technical skills: Proficiency in using photo editing software such as CapCut, proficiency in using Instagram and TikTok platforms and other relevant technology programs such as Canva.
6. Attention to detail: The ability to ensure that the selfie experiences are visually appealing and well maintained
8. Problem-solving skills: The ability to quickly identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the selfie experience.
9. Flexibility: The willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
10. Previous experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, marketing, graphic design or a related field may be beneficial.
Overall, your role as a Selfie Experience Coordinator is to create a fun and memorable experience for visitors, helping them capture the perfect selfies while ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout their visit to the selfie museum. Your role as a Social Media Manager is to create engaging content to promote and boost the museum’s online presence.
