The Clinic Lead is responsible for ensuring clinic and service quality to ensure they are maintained in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. The Clinic Lead helps optimize clinic flow is established by serving as a liaison between provider needs and clinical resources. He/she is responsible for providing leadership and managing support staff for the medical clinic. The Clinic Lead must ensure the provision of professional services that complement the provider’s role of delivering primary health care services at Imagine Health Centres.

**Reporting Relationships**:
The Clinic Lead has a primary obligation to Imagine Health Centres as a whole and reports to Clinic Manager and senior management as assigned. Supervisory Relationships The Clinic Lead oversees the supervision of the following positions: Physicians, Specialists, Clinic LPNs, RNs, MOAs, PTAs, administrative staff and other support personnel. He/she acts as a resource-point for all medical clinic personnel by; managing and guiding, supervising and suggesting based on established clinic policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following, and will vary based on the needs of the clinic.
- Oversees medical clinic administration and nursing and support staff to ensure clinical goals, efficiency and responsibilities are being met.
- Oversees operational and administrative functions, activities and projects of a medical clinic.
- Available to patients, through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.
- Assist senior management with Alberta Health and Wellness regarding policies and procedures for immunizations and any other public health issues.
- Assist the Controller with day-to-day accounting matters including bank deposits, bank reconciliations and the control of all matters pertaining to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for the clinic.
- Collaborates with senior management to establish and review policies and procedures for optimal clinic operations.
- Performs other appropriate duties as requested by senior management.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.

**Other key qualifications**:

- Financial Management (training will be provided)
- Ensure physician billings and submissions to AHW, WCB, OIS, insurance and private payee are submitted, tracked and associate revenues are recorded in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for review as requested
- Assisting in prompt payroll duties to facilitate regular payment of employees, contractors and vendors as directed

**General**:

- Assist in monitoring the delivery of patient services to include reviewing physician activity data and forecast and prepare for all changes needed or impacted by patient load, billing/collecting procedures, and associated regulations and policies.

**Qualifications & Expertise**:

- Experience in public health preferred.
- Two or more years proven medical clinic leadership experience required.
- Billing experience an asset.
- Must have an understanding of medical ethics and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records required
- Own personal vehicle and ability to commute
