Senior Tax Position Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our tax group, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to our clients.

Job Description:

  • Provide audit support services to our clients, reviewing their tax filings and ensuring all tax-related matters have been addressed.
  • Offer tax planning services to our clients, helping them minimize their tax liabilities.
  • Research tax issues and prepare memoranda on complex tax topics.
  • Mentor and coach staff members in the tax group, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage staff in the tax group, providing daily guidance and support.
  • Prepare and present technical sessions for staff on tax-related topics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax, including a professional designation (CPA or CA).
  • Bilingualism is essential.
  • Completion of the CICA In-depth Tax Course is required.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with GAAP requirements for tax provisions.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Caseware and Taxprep.

Benefits and Salary:

This is a senior-level position with a salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health and dental coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
