**What you’ll do**
- Provide regular feedback on the quality of the transportation plan, and suggest improvements
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with third party carriers while ensuring desired service is provided at lowest cost
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify areas of concern, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to rectify them
- Proactively work with stakeholders to ensure carrier capacity is available to support the operational demand for the successful execution of all shipments including inbound, outbound, Dealer returns and ad-hoc requests
- Maintain current knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations, including transportation of dangerous goods

**What you bring**
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Logistics or Engineering
- Transportation industry experience
- A general understanding of the Highway Traffic Act; Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Good knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) for example, JDA or Oracle
- Knowledge and ability to navigate through Microsoft Excel (e.g. Macros, Pivot Tables), Access (e.g. Macros, Queries, Reporting) skills and Power BI
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must excel in a team environment, comfortable making objective decisions on the fly
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced, challenging environment with a great deal of autonomy
- Ability to work with complex and evolving systems and extensive and varied data
