**Project Coordinator**

**Position Overview**

Under the direction of the Manager for Women and Gender Initiatives, and in accordance with the NBMC stated mandates and goals, the **(IMvisible NB) Project Coordinator **lead and support the project activities.

**IMvisible NB Overview**

As one of the NBMC projects, IMvisible NB stands as a resilient response to the various multi-layered, structural, and systemic barriers faced by Non-Status, Refugee, and Immigrant (NSRI) women when accessing domestic and intimate partner violence (D/IPV) support services in NB. The project persists in its efforts to foster cultural integration by building capacity, skills, tools, and resources within the domestic and intimate partner violence prevention sector and to many other interested parties in NB.

**NBMC Overview**

The New Brunswick Multicultural Council (NBMC) is the bilingual nonprofit, umbrella organization for established and emerging multicultural/ethnocultural associations and immigrant-serving agencies in the province. Since 1983, NBMC has played a key advisory role to federal, provincial, and municipal levels of government on issues relating to multiculturalism, immigration, newcomer settlement, retention, and labour market integration. NBMC is also valued by the settlement and multicultural community as a central coordinating/capacity-building body that promotes efficiency, avoids duplication of services, and allows for an exchange of best practices and other resources through its network of organizations, contacts, partners, etc.

**Position Duties**

The **Program Coordinator **is responsible for the duties and responsibilities (these are below):
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plan for the development of the project training and delivery with the guidance of the manager of women and gender initiatives.
- Facilitate and deliver information and orientation sessions to non-status, refugee, and immigrant women about DIPV and Healthy relationships for the NSRI Families in rural areas/francophone interested parties.
- Develop and distribute the project’s resources in several languages.
- Manage several events and information sessions’ logistics including promoting the event, booking hotels, selecting venues, and all other logistics tasks requested.
- Maintain, build, and foster consistent communication with the domestic violence prevention sector, immigrant settlement agencies, and all other gender-based violence initiatives with a focus on the francophone initiatives/communities.
- Present and promote the project in Rural Areas.
- Support the NBMC Settlement Sector Academy Coordinator in enhancing our DIPV course module.
- Prepare bilingual social media posters upon request for promoting the project.
- Report the project’s updates, achievements, and development to the manager of women and gender initiatives.
- Perform other duties as needed.

**Associated Responsibilities**:

- **Logistics**: ensure the project meets targets, budgets, and timelines, with appropriate reporting and evaluation against KPIs.
- **Adaptability**: May be required to perform other duties as required for overall NBMC support on projects and activities.

**Qualifications/ Requirements**
- **Language**: Excellent French written, verbal communication and presentation skills is required in this position.
- **Experience**: Minimum one year experience in the D/IPV- NB sector.
- **Education**: Degree or a certificate in Social Sciences, or any related studies to immigration, women’s empowerment and/or human rights.
- **Event Management**: Strong event management, and attention to detail are necessary.
- **Immigration Knowledge**: Familiarity with immigrant women’s intersecting barriers.
- **Technological Knowledge**: Experience with Microsoft Office and Canvas for design.
- **Work Style**:Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- **Artistic Eye is a strong Asset.**

- Discretion, confidentiality, and compliance with the _Privacy Act.**Working hours, compensation, and term of position**
- 37.5 hours per week,
- Term contract until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension to March 31, 2026.
