Clinical Case Coordinator, Prenatal Education

Sinai Health is seeking a Clinical Case Coordinator to coordinate prenatal education programing, planning and support for the Women’s & Infants’ Health program.
**In this role you will**:
- Develop and implement prenatal and parenting education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge about labour, birth, newborn care and the postpartum experience for expectant families
- Ensure that all programs are evidence-informed and based on the most recent professional guidelines and research
- Equip, plan and coordinate prenatal education programs
- Facilitate client communication and registration
- Ensure seamless communication with prenatal educators and other interdisciplinary team members
- Provide support and problem-solving related to programming and client concerns
- Recruit and orient new prenatal educators
- Provide reports (financial, statistical, evaluations) to evaluate the program
- Program promotion (e.g. Prenatal Education webpage, brochure for distribution, posters etc.)
- Participate in relevant committees (e.g. Normal Birth Taskforce)
- Collaborate with other departments to disseminate consistent prenatal education information
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as require
- Job Requirements**Job Requirements**:
Mandatory
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor’s degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience
- Certification in Childbirth Education with International Childbirth Education Association, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association or Lamaze
- Recent clinical experience in perinatal nursing (minimum 5 years)
- Recent teaching experience (group settings an asset)
Preferred
- Masters degree in nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Lactation Consultant Certification Recent teaching experience (group settings an asset)
- Previous experience in team leader/charge nurse roles
