The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).

The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing educates nurses who are reflective practitioners and provide recognized leadership in nursing theory, research, practice, inter-professional health teaching and learning, and policy advancements.

**Responsibilities**:
**Partnership and Knowledge Mobilization (KM) Coordinator**

**Background**

The focus of our Partnership is built upon principles of EDI. An EDI-D (equity, diversity, and inclusion) lens will be applied to our KM plans. Our co-created knowledge products will be assessed by our KM Working group for level of language and literacy (descriptive text) and to accommodate visual and/or hearing impairments (podcasts and large print, subtitled/closed captioning). Our dissemination efforts will target marginalized communities facilitating direct access to the knowledge and tools generated through this research.

The Partnership and Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator will support the KME Working Group by playing a key role in engaging partnership members, sharing information, coordinating activities, and other administrative forms of support for the work of the committees.

**Role**

This position reports directly to Fiona Webster (UWO) and to the Knowledge Mobilization and Exchange (KME) Working Group. The **Knowledge Mobilization and Exchange (KME) Working Group** (operations) will be responsible for assembling and disseminating action on the basis of new knowledge created by the research teams.

**Responsibilities**

The Partnership and Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator will support the KME Working Group by:

- leading and providing expert guidance on knowledge translation/mobilization activities for the PEPR project
- playing a key role in engaging Partnership members in KM activities;
- developing mechanisms for sharing information both within and external to the Partnership;
- identifying and coordinating all KM activities, such as, but not limited to, webinars, publications, workshops, social media postings;
- developing methods to track effectiveness of KM activities;
- Knowledge of all aspects of social media and innovative communication tools such as Infographics, podcasts and animated videos. The successful incumbent may not need to do those things but be able to find others who can.
- maintaining all social media accounts (website, Twitter);
- and other administrative forms of support for the work of the committees.

**Reporting structure**

There is a **Leadership Committee** (operations) comprised mínimally of a Director, two PWLE, a family doctor, a medical anthropologist, a children’s pain researcher, the Research Manager, and a trainee who will oversee all partnership activities. Team membership may change over time. The **Partnership Committee** (governance) is comprised of representatives from the 7 partner organizations plus at least 2 PWLE and a trainee.

**Background information**:

- A Masters degree; PhD preferred an area related to qualitative research, critical social science, health equity, health services research, chronic pain, or closely related areas. A combination of education and experience will be considered
- 2-5 years experience
- Experience in an academic and/or research institute setting is preferred
- Experience using knowledge mobilization theories and tools
- Evidence of working independently and of timely delivery of outputs
- Experience with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience contributing to website development and managing Twitter accounts
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy, sound judgement and ethical conduct including the ability to maintain confidentiality, tact and discretion
- Resourceful with a strong sense of accountability and initiative; able to work independently with little supervision
- Well-organized and flexible; able to work in a fluid and evolving work environment with changing deadlines and priorities and the ability to meet deadlines
