**Project Coordinator**:

- Continental Mine & Industrial Supply Ltd. is currently seeking a _**Project Technologist**_

**Qualifications**
- Technologist diploma preferably in the Mechanical Discipline
- 5 - 10 years of experience
- High computer literacy with an ability to learn new programs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- People oriented with an ability to establish relationships, credibility, and trust
- Physically fit and capable of performing site inspection and commissioning functions
- The following experience is considered an asset:_
- Surface or underground mining, and/or other heavy industrial experience
- Major project or contract management with EPCM projects
- Experience with SynergyDesk, MS Project and other software

**This position is considered safety-sensitive, the successful applicant(s) will have to take and pass a drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment.**

**Responsibilities**

Coordinate with and support outside sales staff to meet their needs and the customer’s requirements. This includes but is not limited to:
Scope development, project estimation, and costing:
► Preliminary/concept design to allow cost estimate and quote development
- As a team review customers problems or opportunities to help develop potential solutions
- Complete site technical inspections and tours to help customers identify problems and opportunities

► Detailed project estimating and cost development
- Work with CMI’s suppliers and sub-contractors to get quotes based on supplied scope of work

► Proposal and quote development: customer quotation packages, technical justifications, commercial reviews, exceptions to scope of work

Project management and project execution:
► Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and submit order acknowledgements

► Plan the execution of the project

► Issue and manage CMI’s purchase orders to vendors and sub-contractors

► Develop transmittals and submit documents to customer’s as required by the overall scope of work (Vendor Data Requirements)

► Review and approve drawings and documentation from all vendors and sub-contractors

► Schedule development and monitoring to achieve customer’s requirements

► Quality control inspections

► Project Commissioning support as required

► Project close-out: develop operating and maintenance manuals, completion of final documents to meet customer’s requirements, cost review with accounting department

**Accountabilities**
- This position reports to the general manager
- Communicate with clients, customers, and engineering firms
- Collaborate with outside sales as required to complete projects and support team efforts
- Effectively manage assigned work and projects as directed
- Manage quotes, budgets, schedule, deadlines and reviews from engineering firms
- Contract administration including direct coordination with clients
- Manage multidiscipline, large, and complex projects
- Set priorities for own work and meets deadlines
- Internal Customers:_
- Inside Sales Team: Orders with suppliers and manufacturers
- Outside Sales Team: Project requirements identified and developed directly with the operating facilities
- External Customers:_
- Inquiries that have come from EPCM companies representing the operating facilities
- Typical projects could involve:_
- Bulk Materials Handling
- Mobile Equipment
- Process Equipment
- Battery Power Mobile Equipment
- Mining Equipment
- Industries will include: _
- Mining
- Power Plants
- Industrial Facilities
- Sand & Gravel
- Agriculture
- Construction

**Working Conditions**
- 40 hours a week
- 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1-hour lunch OR 8:00am - 4:30pm with 30-minute lunch
- Breaks are unpaid
- Dress code is business casual and per safety requirements for personal protective equipment on work, mine, and construction sites
- Office and site work as required - including work on client mine sites and external forums, networking, and client events
- Cross-province and US travel is required
- Flex-time for appointments and family priorities is acceptable
