- You will play a key role in delivering on Radio-Canada’s strategic objective of reflecting contemporary Canada. You will also help the public broadcaster deepen its connections with communities that are underrepresented in its workforce and content. You will design projects with various Radio-Canada departments to facilitate the recruitment of diverse talent. This will include creating outreach, engagement and collaboration opportunities with a range of cultural, Indigenous and disability communities as well as with agencies across the country. You will also develop programs to capitalize on this talent and help them grow professionally.

You will draw up and ensure adherence to budgets in accordance with corporate procedures. You will work independently with some guidance from management and your colleagues. You will build solid relationships with external partners as well as with leaders from all Radio-Canada departments. You thoroughly understand the mission and mandate of the public broadcaster, which you will ably represent within the community.

Lastly and most importantly, you will be a core part of a dynamic, high-performance team focused on listening and striving for excellence.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Help provide Radio-Canada and its vendors with greater access to talent from diverse and disability communities.
- Support departmental managers by providing expertise on recruiting, onboarding and retaining diverse employees and employees with disabilities.
- Promote and help implement CBC/Radio-Canada’s Accessibility Plan among Radio-Canada managers and vendors.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and employment assistance agencies and organizations serving specific communities.
- Work on career development strategies for people from underrepresented groups.
- Develop and manage a career development internship program designed for and tailored to people with disabilities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Radio-Canada station managers across the country.
- Work closely with CBC/Radio-Canada corporate teams and the CBC Engagement & Inclusion team.
- Represent Radio-Canada on the Accessibility Steering Committee and during outreach events/activities.
- Collate and share market intelligence on diversity and inclusion issues, identifying best practices at home and abroad.
- University degree in communications, human resources or other related field
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in a similar or equivalent role
- Knowledge of employment assistance networks and their specific characteristics
- Ability to work with departments within and outside Radio-Canada
- Dynamic writing style, with the ability to write attention-grabbing, persuasive or promotional content
- Strong ability to advise and influence senior managers
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with others
- Highly creative and proactive individual who is able to propose innovative ideas
- Strong ability to organize your workload so as to meet editorial deadlines and respond to last-minute requests
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Ability to plan and organize activities with a high level of accessibility, taking into account a range of different disability-related needs
- Knowledge of workplace accommodation principles
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
