Asset Management Specialist

At Vanguard Kitchens, we specialize in designing, building, and installing custom cabinets, countertops, and vanities.
With the swift growth of our business demands and assets, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and tracking our company's physical assets, including inventory, machinery, equipment, tools, devices, vehicles, computers, furniture, and essential documents.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement asset management strategies and policies to ensure effective utilization and maintenance of physical assets.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of inventory levels, movements, and stock locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing holding costs.
- Develop and implement procedures for tracking assets throughout their lifecycle e.g., planning, procurement, deployment, operations and maintenance and disposal.
- Assist with asset procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and contract management.
- Oversee the regular check-in and check-out procedures for assets such as tools, devices, and vehicles, ensuring accurate records and proper utilization.
- Implement asset tracking systems to monitor asset condition, maintenance schedules, and locations.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure assets are properly maintained and in compliance with industry regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures in inventory and asset management.
- Provide training and support to staff on proper inventory handling, asset management procedures, and the use of inventory management software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in physical asset management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles, practices, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and/or asset management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records and asset logs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to handle asset management challenges.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
