**Position Description**
The Accounts Payable Specialist is a key member of the finance team responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process. This role involves accurately processing and recording financial transactions related to the organization's purchases, ensuring vendors are paid on time, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining strong vendor relationships, contributing to the company's overall financial health, and supporting the smooth functioning of the finance department.
**Position Responsibilities**
- Processing of AP invoices
- Process vendor payments
- Reconciliation of disposal tickets in TRUX with vendor invoices
- Proper filing of documents for easy retrieval
- Filling out new vendor forms for creation of new vendors
- Ensuring all disposal tickets are reconciled in TRUX on a monthly basis and no tickets reconciliations are outstanding for more than 45 days
- Complete all AP data entry before close of AP module in Sage 300 (workday 3)
- Helping out with customer phone calls and taking messages as and when needed
- Requesting vendor statements on a monthly basis to ensure all billed expenses are recognized
- Prepare and provide expense accrual list by 3rd of the following month
- Other administrative duties as may be given from time to time
**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years experience in AP role
- University degree in accounting
- Time management and organization skills
- Knowledge of TRUX, Quickbooks and Sage 300 will be an asset
