Berendsen Fluid Power is a fluid power distributor providing Value Added services in the field of **_Power and Motion Control_** to the **_Industrial_** and **_Off Highway_ _Markets_**. We are one of North America’s largest fluid power integrators with 42 locations in the United States and Canada. We are fully integrated with supply, design and engineering services and repair and warranty services. We have a current opening in our Markham, Ontario facility for a Systems Segment Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Responsible for the overall operations and functions of the facility, you will oversee cost estimation, design, procurement, build, test, and shipment.

Scope of responsibility includes management of local personnel, on-time delivery, quality, and throughput.
- Analyze data, supporting documents and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility with customer’s requirements to generate conceptual drawings.
- Review conceptual schematics and layout drawings with the data to confirm they meet functional, performance, and dimensional provisions to meet the customers’ expectations.
- Confer with engineering, customers and/or sales to clarify or resolve issues & details not defined, to determine labor requirements and prepare/review itemized material lists/costs to formulate estimates.
- Review drawings and supporting documents to verify adherence to BFP and industry standard practices.
- Maintain existing system business by working with BFP and vendor personnel to ensure that the necessary materials are available & paperwork completed to obtain customer satisfaction.
- Oversee projects from quote stage to start up.
- Recommend staffing levels and determining work hours to meet delivery expectations.
- Work with Human Resources to hire Services Team Members.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering degree or demonstrated equivalent via formal training and experience.
- Five years’ experience in industrial or mobile fluid power, preferably Hydraulic Power Unit design and/or manufacturing role.
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist (or equivalent work experience).
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills needed.
- Excellent PC skills.
- CAD/SolidWorks and other computer design equipment literacy.
- Previous leadership experience in an industrial distribution or production environment.
- Clean driving record.
