Hydraulic Systems Technician

**The skills we are looking for**:
Ability to follow shop drawings, written instructions & verbal direction to assemble Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) in accordance with industry standards. Bonus assets include experience or willingness in testing and troubleshooting HPUs.
- Contribute to and exceed BFP’s ability to meet scheduled ship date
- Safely carry out all duties assigned to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements
- Asset skills include welding, fabricating, and use of overhead crane
- Advise foreman or supervisor of any concerns or issues pertaining to any particular HPU or assembly which may adversely affect performance
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and a positive work environment

**Qualifications**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must take responsibility in their work to contribute to and exceed BFP product reputation. Learning and adaptability are greatly encouraged. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

**Requirements**:

- Understanding of hydraulic working principles
- Understanding engineering drawings including schematics and assemblies
- Experience with routing hydraulic oil lines respecting industry standards
- Possess basic welding and fabricating skills

**Bonus skills (willing to train)**:

- Knowledge & experience of hydraulics system testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to bend tube & thread pipe for custom routing

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Relevant college diploma or equivalent in experience
- Clean record for a successful background check
- Excellent communications skills
- Forklift Certification preferred
- 2-3 years minimum of relevant industry experience
