Thunder Bay, Canada United Way of Thunder Bay Full time

The Community Collaboration and Indigenous Relations Intern will work on behalf of the United Way of Thunder Bay and the Port Arthur Rotary Club to further each organization’s community engagement efforts, with a specific emphasis on connecting and collaborating with Indigenous-led organizations in Thunder Bay.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of community engagement strategies.
- Assist in the management and moderation of online and digital engagement efforts.
- Develop and build relationships with both Indigenous-led and other BIPOC-led organizations in Thunder Bay.
- Conduct research and share findings on best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Coordinate equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies and practices.
- Conduct an environmental scan and develop an understanding of community needs and wants.
- Engage other non-profits, community leaders, and key stakeholders to animate ongoing charitable work.
- Assist in the management of social media and other related duties.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and events on behalf of the United Way of Thunder Bay and the Port Arthur Rotary Club.
- Promote civic engagement and volunteerism in Thunder Bay.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

**Other**:

- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required.

The Port Arthur Rotary is a service organization whose motto is "Service Above Self".

This position will provide support to both organizations.
