**Job description**

Centura Building system (Niradia Group of companies) is looking for a **steel shop assistant.** You could spend the day perfecting your talents in fabrication and welding. You may also continue to learn more about this incredible industry. Your expertise could help our company continue to deliver the quality we strive for each day.

**Responsibilities**:

- Use details from written plans and supervisors’ instructions to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns.
- Transport heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly.
- Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building.
- Ensure proper placement, balance and alignment of structural pieces using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs.
- Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the project’s guidelines by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques.
- Access challenging work positions at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations.

**Job Skills & Qualifications**

Required:

- Mig Ticket
- Torch Welding
- Forklift Certification
- 1-3 years of structured steel shop experience
- Entry - C-level qualification
- Ability to pass all types of screening before employment
- Physical endurance to complete the necessary tasks

We operate in a small 3-person shop. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and expanding your skills in welding and fabricating.

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
