Applied Industrial Technologies LP is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of
of Steel Fabricator / Hydraulic Assembler in our Saskatoon, SKshop.

Key Responsibilities:

-Set up components for welding/fabrication as per standard specifications.
-Weld different metals and alloys in various positions (carbon and stainless steel).
-Weld/fabricate a variety of equipment and components for hydraulic power units.
-Determine appropriate welding equipment or procedures based on individual job requirements.
-Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
-Operate power tools and general welding equipment - grinders, gouging and cutting equipment.
-Assemble hydraulic components as required – millwright experience an asset.
-Paint – spray painting of completed units.
-Maintenance and use of equipment that does not compromise safety.
-Quality - Testing and inspection of welds and hydraulic testing of completed units.
-Participate and comply with all required Health & Safety Programs and training.
-Work safely, lead by example and contribute to Applied’s corporately sponsored safety program.
-Communicate appropriately, confidently and professionally to colleagues and management.
-Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

-3-5 years of experience within an industrial setting is required.
-Welding certification or Fabrication certification is required, indentured apprentices’ will be considered.
-Millwright experience is considered an asset.
-Painting with spray system experience an asset.
-Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
-Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
-Mechanical aptitude, experience or certification in other trades an asset.
-Self motivated, organized and able to work independently.
-Able to work in a team environment and utilize all available resources.
-Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
.
-Desire to succeed and grow within the organization.
-Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
