**SUMMARY**:
General shop duties under supervision including providing assembly assistance, parts cleaning, assisting in shop organization and maintenance. Great for students arranging flexible hours Mondays to Fridays.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Academic**:
Grade 12 diploma preferred. Courses in mechanical/electrical technology an asset.

**Work Experience**:
Some mechanical/electrical assembly and/or metal fabrication experience or equivalent preferred. Experience in use of pneumatic tools an asset. Forklift certification is required.

**Other**:
Ability to read blueprints, competence in mathematics an asset. Good computer skills an asset. Ability to lift 25 lbs.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in organizing, cleaning, pressure washing parts
- Assist assemblers under supervision
- Pallet/crate building
- Crating and packaging for shipping
- Shop maintenance including general weekly cleaning, organizing, odd jobs
- Empty recycling bins, change garbage bags, assist with replenishing paper supply if need be.
- Keep an accurate record of time charged to each job
- Full comprehension of safety requirements
- Other duties as required
