Reporting to the Director, Financial Services, the Financial Services Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing a wide range of coordination services for the department and college clients to contribute to service and operational excellence in a busy, dynamic and highly confidential environment.
The incumbent is accountable for researching, compiling, analysing and presenting accurate information in support of the functions of business planning and operations, human resource planning, financial planning, and related administrative processes. The incumbent will maintain internal and external relationships in order to coordinate services across the college.
The incumbent will establish and maintain information tracking systems plus manual and electronic schedules and filing systems, and manage the co-ordination and logístical support for meetings, travel, staff professional development and conferences for a department of approximately 30 employees.
This role also plays an important part in contributing to and supporting the implementation of financial services projects, process improvements, and budget management functions across the college.
**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:
A minimum of a three-year diploma/degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field of study.
A minimum of four years of related, applied, and progressively responsible experience supporting a demanding and highly complex financial environment.
**Other Required Qualifications**:
- Extensive experience in the use of office administration, presentation software and other automated information systems
- Experience performing budgeting and financial analysis
- Ability to collect, compile and present data
- Ability to use sound judgement in determining which matters to refer to their supervisor
- Skill in creating and implementing new forms, processes and technologies
**Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements**:
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy. The incumbent may be required to work hours outside of regular workdays as required (i.e., when scheduled or in emergency situations).
**Salary & Terms**:
- **Admin Group**: Pay Band 8: $66,909 to $83,635 per annum, commensurate on education and experience. In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for pay for performance.
