We are currently recruiting for a 

Youth Program Intern
**Term: April 15, 2024 - November 15, 2024**

**The Opportunity**: 

The internship will run on a part-time and full-time schedule. The successful applicant is expected to work at least 20 hours per week during the part-time periods and 35 hours per week during the full-time periods.

**Below is a breakdown of the scheduled timetable**:

- April 15, 2024 - May 3, 2024 (Part-time) - 3 weeks
- May 6, 2024 - September 6, 2024 (Full-time) - 18 weeks
- September 9, 2024 - November 15, 2023 (Part-time) - 10 weeks

Under the supervision of the Youth Program Officer, the intern is responsible for supporting The Foundation’s youth engagement programs. The incumbent will have exposure and build skills in the following areas:  
- Event Planning 
- Program Management 
- Program Evaluation 
- Recruitment (Human Resources) 
- Database Management  

**Specific tasks included in this role are**: 
- Assist with planning and implementing various events such as the Youth in Philanthropy Gala, Summer Internship Program Celebration, YiP Conference, and Walking Together Grants Celebration 
- Support the Summer Internship Program by conducting interviews, coordinating site visits, and planning summer events. Review reports and evaluations for all youth programs 
- Update youth program databases and ensure proper coding

**About You**:   
- Pursuing or recent completion of a post-secondary program 
- Experience working with youth 
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products 
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
- Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task, prioritize and take direction 
- Basic understanding of the charitable sector 

**What We Offer**: 
- Salary: $20 per hour
- Vacation pay equivalent to 4% of salary 
- Position will involve primarily in-office work with regular local travel to community organizations (travel provided)
