Position Title:
Youth Program Coordinator

Classification:
One Year Term January 2023-January 2024

Location: 445 King Street/363 McGregor Community Site

Salary:
To be negotiated

- to
- day operation of approximately eleven youth programs, facilitate and support any new ventures that would benefit the youth program. The coordinator would also be involved in the supervision of staff and volunteers. The applicant should have an understanding of the Centre's Strategic plan and how this would enhance the services provided to our youth and community.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Youth programs
  • Ability to complete budgets, quarterly reports to funders
  • Ability to work under demanding conditions
  • Independent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience in supervising staff, ability to make tough decisions
  • Ability to delegate tasks to staff and volunteer's
  • Ability to work with collateral agencies
  • Understanding of Aboriginal and community issues
  • Knowledge and skills to work with various age groups
  • Computer skills would be an asset
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Be a team player/facilitator
  • Time Management skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to vehicle would be an asset
