Accounting Clerk

**FULL-TIME BOOK KEEPING / ACCOUNTING CLERK POSITION - METRO TRUCK GROUP, STONEY CREEK, ON.**

The Metro Truck Group is a full-service centre for all heavy truck and trailer needs, providing a large base of services across ten convenient locations. We are rapidly growing and, in our expansion, we are looking to add to our Accounting team at our Head Office & Elite Dealership residing in Stoney Creek.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance
- Preparing financial reports by analyzing, collecting, and condensing account trends and information
- Perform accounting functions for various branches and/or subsidiaries
- Provide ongoing support and development to the CAO and Accounting team.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily data entry of financial transactions in database
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work alongside co-workers, and management in a cooperative manner
- Abide by Metro Truck Group policies and procedures
- _Other responsibilities as assigned_

**Education & Qualifications**:

- An Accounting / Business Accounting Diploma **or **five (5) year booking experience
- Compontent computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to be adaptive in a fast paced office environment
- A positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
